1.Chief Resources Officer

Job summary

Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Resources Officer has a responsibility for formulating broad strategies and policies regarding resources, i.e., human resources, financial resources, material resources, information technology, asset formation, etc., and the coordination of these resources in order to create capabilities that will be the sources of competitive advantage for the company.

Job Requirement

  • Education: a minimum of bachelor’s degree from a recognized higher learning institution and preferably have diploma or advanced diploma in insurance from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or Life Office Management Association (LOMA).
  • Experience: a minimum of 12 years’ experience in insurance, of which 4 years shall be in a managerial position in any one or more of core areas of general insurance operations.

2. Director, Human Resource Management Directorate

Job summary

Under the general direction of the Chief Resources Officer, the Human Resources Management Director has the responsibility of:

  • developing a strategy to attract qualified and competent human resources through an effective recruitment and selection process;
  • developing and grooming talented employees;
  • working on retaining employees by keeping them motivated and engaged;
  • managing the workplace and making an effort to foster a positive work environment;
  • managing the overall company’s compensation and benefits and working on it continuously to make it competent in the market;
  • overseeing and following up the company-wide performance management system’s functionality;
  • undertaking appropriate organizational design, developing policies and procedures, and monitoring their execution with regard to the human resources management of the company.
  • ensuring a healthy and balanced relationship between the employee and the company by properly managing employee relations; and
  • preparing a functional strategy and succession plan framework.

Job Requirement

  • Education: a minimum of bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Administration, Law or related fields of study from a recognized higher learning institution and preferably have a Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or Senior Professional in Human Resources-International(SPHRI).
  • Experience: a minimum of 11 years’ of relevant work experience, four of which must be in a managerial position in human resources management.
