1. Procurement Officer

Position in Organization:

Qualification & Experience:

  • BA Degree or Diploma in Business Administration/logistics Management, Purchasing/Supplies Management, supply chain management or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in INGO environment, involving in the procurement of both emergency and development programs
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving capability;
  • Ability to influence others’ behaviour through effective relationship building; through current knowledge and understanding of relevant policies, frameworks etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of project processes, procedures, and systems
  • Experience in UN Or NGO environment involving in the procurement activities
  • Experience in emergency procurement is advantageous

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education at Bachelor’s Degree level or equivalent in Social science, Development studies, Economics, Statistics and Management
  • 5 years of monitoring & evaluation position experience and at least 2 years of Monitoring & Evaluation experience with NGOs.
  • Practical knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, including log frames, result chains, theories of change, and assessment/evaluations.
  • Experience in staff/team management, coaching, mentoring, capacity building, and performance review and appraisal is the plus.

3. Thematic Lead – Child Protection and GBV in Emergencies

Position in Organization:

Qualification & Experience:

  • Master’s degree is preferable
  • 5 years of experience in CP and GBV emergency/humanitarian work, of which at least two must be directly providing technical support to teams implementing CPiE and GBViE programmes/projects.
  • Strong grounding in the principles of Child protection, CPIMS plus, gender equality, gender equity and intersectionality, and ability to apply this in practice to the work.
  • Demonstrated experience responding to emergencies in multiple contexts, with a high level of emergency technical expertise within CPiE, inclusion, gender and GBV, including knowledge and understanding of the latest CPiE and GBViE minimum standards and best practices among international humanitarian and emergency actors.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting rapid needs assessments and designing technically-sound CPiE and GBViE programs to respond to identified needs on the ground.
  • Experience in both direct implementation and sub-grantee management preferred.
  • Experience designing programs and contributing to proposals and budgets for institutional emergency donors.
  • Ability to work well with others and rapidly adapt to new contexts.
  • Flexibility to work in challenging environments and with high workloads, potentially with limited mobility.

4. Child Protection and Youth In Emergencies Coordinator

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications/Experience Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (MA Preferred) in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Community Development, Law, Political Science and related fields
  • with at least 5 years relevant experience of which at least three years’ experience with INGOs at Child Protection Program Managerial capacity
  • Ability to deliver quality programs in a desirable time and work under stressful conditions.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills in English and Amharic.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Gender sensitive.
  • Proposal and report writing skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking

Qualifications/Experience Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the child protection in emergencies sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of project cycle management and child centred community development programming.
  • Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to community development.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection Policy (CPP) principles and procedures
  • Knowledge of effective participatory Monitoring, Evaluation and Research systems and processes.

Skills Specific to the Post:

  • Strong negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills.
  • Numeracy and the ability to interpret financial data, in order to understand budgetary processes including planning, monitoring and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate options including planning skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant software and other applications.
