1. Human Resources Officer

Education:

  • Advanced university degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, or other relevant fields, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience or training/courses.

Experience:

  • One or more years of postgraduate professional experience in Human Resources with an interest in international humanitarian development

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of specialized HR administrative work practices and methods, learning references gained through relevant technical training and experience.
  • Good communication skills and good understanding of HR principles and their application in order to respond to and resolve a range of HR queries.
  • Ability to conduct sound analyses in order to generate periodic reports and make recommendations for further actions.
  • Ability to build relationships with a variety of individuals across functions and outside WFP in order to effectively contribute to the functioning of the unit.
  • Experience in supervising and coordinating tasks of subordinates to be able to train and supervise junior staff members within the HR function.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools and basic understanding of learning software’s.

Language:

  • Fluency in both oral and written communication in English. Knowledge of the local language is added advantage

2. Logistics Associate

Education:

  • A post-secondary certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics & Transport Management, business, or completion of a university degree in any other relevant field is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Secondary school education completion with a minimum of 6 years of working experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of work experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience coordinating service providers’ contract execution.
  • Experience arranging supplier deliveries and the discharge of WFP vessels (rail, air, or sea).
  • Experience in evaluating offers and writing proposals.
  • Experience in report writing.
  • Language: Fluency in oral and written communication in English (level C) and Amharic.

Education:

  • Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Law, or other relevant field is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Secondary school education completion with a minimum of 5 years of working experience OR a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of work experience including at least two years in human resources is mandatory.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of standard office software packages, e.g. Microsoft word.
  • Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information with a variety of individuals.
  • Good attention to detail in order to identify data discrepancies.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and follow clear instructions
  • Knowledge on finance and administration related tasks

Language:

  • Fluency in both oral and written communication in English. Knowledge of the local language is added advantage
